Sprouting Gear Inc., at the forefront of sustainable agricultural solutions, is thrilled to announce the appointment of James Clement III as an Advisor to the company. James brings a wealth of experience in land management, livestock operations, and the innovative application of technology in agriculture.
James Clement III currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Grass and Rangeland at EarthOptics, where he has been instrumental in introducing ranchers to cutting-edge technology for mapping and quantifying soil health and carbon sequestration capabilities. His extensive background in ranching, paired with his expertise in technology-driven solutions, makes him an invaluable addition to the Sprouting Gear team.
Before his tenure at EarthOptics, James spent a decade with King Ranch, one of the most historic and respected ranching operations in the United States. As Land Resources Manager and Horse Division Manager, he managed surface and sub-surface activities across the ranches, revitalized the Horse Division, and led it to win the prestigious 2019 AQHA Best Remuda Award. Under his leadership, King Ranch also raised its first-ever bred and owned World Champion.
James’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident through his founding of Bloody Buckets Cattle Co. and The Land Board, where he has successfully managed and consulted on livestock, land resources, wildlife, and governance. Additionally, his 16 years of service in the Marine Corps, currently as an infantry Major and battalion operations officer, have refined his leadership and strategic skills, further enhancing his ability to drive impactful change in the agricultural sector.
Commenting on his new role with Sprouting Gear, James stated, "I have spent time reviewing the startup presented by Paul Pluss for Sprouting Gear Inc. I like the proposed model and think it has merit as an alternative to traditionally farmed alfalfa and grass hay. In my experience with a variety of horse and cattle feeds, the easier digestive ability and the low cost of Sprouting Gear solve the two biggest issues for ranchers and farmers. I also appreciate that this product has the ability to provide a carbon inset and offset for agriculture operations that can be executed throughout the value chain. Cattle eating a natural feed will also provide better soil as they digest this product and put it into the ground."
James further emphasized, "I am and have been involved with livestock operations that have raised cattle and horses for 5, 15, 150, and 170 years. If Sprouting Gear was to open a facility in my part of Texas, I would support it and be a customer immediately."
Sprouting Gear Inc. is excited to leverage James’s vast experience and deep-rooted connections within the agriculture community as it continues to develop innovative solutions for the industry. His strategic insight and passion for sustainable agriculture will be critical as Sprouting Gear expands its operations and brings new products to market.
